IBR Live Vaccine (Bovine Rhinotracheitis)
For the active immunisation of cattle against Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR), to reduce virus shedding and clinical signs including, in female cattle, abortions associated with BHV-1 infection. A reduction in abortions associated with BHV-1 infection has been demonstrated during the second trimester of gestation following challenge 28 days after vaccination. Onset of immunity: 4 weeks (at the latest) after completion of the primary course of vaccination, as demonstrated by challenge. Duration of immunity: 6 months.
IBR Inactive Vaccine (Bovine Rhinotracheitis)
For the active immunisation of cattle against Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) to reduce the clinical signs and virus shedding and, in female cattle, to prevent abortions associated with BHV-1 infection. The vaccination of pregnant cattle will prevent abortion associated with BHV-1 infection as demonstrated during the second trimester of gestation following challenge 28 days after vaccination.
For use once yearly after initial administration of live vaccine.
Pneumonia Vaccine
We stock a vaccine that will protect cattle of all ages against 2 of the most common causes of virus pneumonia. BRSV and Pi3 are recognised as very important in the cattle pneumonia disease complex. The vaccine is a simple intranasal vaccination that provides protection against BRSV within 5 days of administration. There is no other vaccine available in Ireland that can provide protection against virus pneumonia caused by BRSV within 5 days.
Respiratory Disease Vaccine
We stock a vaccine for the active immunisation of cattle over 12 weeks of age to protect against RSV, Pi3 and BVD viruses.
Leptospirosis Vaccine
A vaccination for healthy cattle four weeks of age or older, including those pregnant and/or lactating, for the prevention of infection by leptospira borgpetersenii serovar hardjo-bovis, including reproductive and renal tract colonization, and urinary shedding for up to 12 months. This vaccination also aids in the prevention of foetal infection. It contains chemically inactivated whole cultures of L. borgpetersenii serovar hardjo type hardjo-bovis.
Blackleg Vaccine
We stock a blackleg vaccine that is designed to stimulate an active immunity against Blackleg (Clostridium chauvoei infection) in cattle and sheep. For cattle give doses of 2ml administered six weeks apart. For sheep give 2 doses of 1ml administered six weeks.
BHV-1 Vaccine
We have a vaccine or the active immunisation of cattle to reduce the intensity and duration of the clinical respiratory signs induced by an infection with BHV-1 and to reduce nasal excretion of field virus.
It is a live, attenuated marker vaccine per dose containing at least 5.7 log10 TCID50 of gE− BHV-1 strain GK/D. Traces of antibiotics and cell debris can be present as remnant from the antigen production.
Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) Vaccine
We have an inactivated vaccine containing BVD virus strain C86. For active immunisation of cows and heifers to protect the foetus against trans-placental infection with Bovine Viral Diarrhoea virus.
Calf Pneumonia Vaccine
Calf pneumonia is widespread and complex. Many factors contribute to its onset, including poor ventilation, underfeeding, stress and the mixing of age groups, but ultimately the disease results from bacteria and viruses infecting calf lungs.
Vaccination will maximise the calf’s immunity against infection and provide a solid defence against the pathogens it faces. But choosing which pathogens to vaccinate against is almost as important as the decision to vaccinate in the first place.
Call us to discuss which bacteria and viruses should your vaccine cover.
Salmonella Vaccine
We stock a suspension for injection containing inactivated cells of Salmonella Dublin, strain S342/70 (1 x 109 cells/ml) and inactivated cells of Salmonella typhimurium, strain S341/70 (1 x 109 cells/ml).
